Carl Jung said, The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are. As a late diagnosed ADHD adult, I can personally speak to how many of us have had to wear masks that hide our true natures and limit us to the prescribed roles enforced by our families and culture. Large parts of ourselves get tucked away and split off while other parts over function so we can adapt to these social expectations and systems. We may think we are the masks we wear or live in a constant state of self criticism and believe we are just not measuring up. This inner conflict can show up as anxiety, addictions and difficulties in our relationships with others and with life in general. I use an eclectic blend of Internal Family Systems, CBT/DBT and Depth Psychology to help clients understand what these symptoms are trying to communicate. This process of healing and exploration leads clients to reestablish this relationship with their authentic self and start living life according to their own unique nature. I feel honoured to have accompanied so many clients over the years through this process and I look forward to bringing this passion and experience to this space.
